Based on the Schilke standard trombone mouthpiece models, the Symphony Series have modified rim contours, cup shapes, throats and backbores creating a responsive balance in resistance and blowing freedom along with attack clarity that will appeal to the contemporary trombonist. The Symphony D Series offers a deeper bottom to the sound core. Schilke Symphony Series mouthpieces continue a tradition in outstanding Schilke workmanship combining old world craftsmanship with the demands of the modern brass player.
- D5.1: K Throat. A Standard cup shape that provides a deeper bottom to the sound core and excellent articulation clarity. Resistance variables are ideal for a principal player.

- D5.2*: K Throat: Standard Cup with tapered throat. More open than D5.2
- D5.3: K Throat. A Standard cup shape that provides a deeper bottom to the sound core.
- D5.3*: K Throat. Standard Cup with tapered throat. More open than D5.3
- D6.0: O Throat. Slightly more open feel than a standard Schilke 60 while maintaining the same rim diameter. It includes a large Schmidt backbore and more open O throat. Maintaining efficiency, this extra-large bowl provides more depth to the sound core with clarity and consistency at all dynamic levels.
